Environment

College activities related to the environment are organised by our Environment Coordinator and include:

Gardening on Green DayEnvironment Committee

The Environment Committee participates in the following “special days” throughout the year:

  • Keep Schools Clean Day
  • World Environment Day
  • Tree Planting Day
  • Green Day

A variety of activities are organised, including fund raising, competitions, organising guest speakers or visiting bands.

Green Day

Students participate in Green Day by:

  • Collecting paper, cardboard, bottles and plastic for recycling
  • Doing general gardening duties such as mulching, watering, sweeping the canteen quadrangle area
  • Organising lost property.

Lost Property

Lost property can be collected routinely from/at the PE Office at the following times:

12.30 – 12.40

Thursday

Lunch
After school

3.05 – 3.20

Friday

After school

3.05 –3.20

Outside of these times, our Environment Coordinator tries to assist students where possible.

College groundsWorking Bees

The college has two working bees each year: one in March and one in November.

Maintaining the college grounds

Our Environment Coordinator sets up strategies to encourage students to take on responsibility for keeping the college grounds clean.
